Peer Support

The Peer Support Programme provides a fun and engaging environment for our students to address social issues. The programme supports our HPD programme by promoting wellbeing, encouraging positive relationships and a sense of responsibility.

The Grade 7/8s are trained to run the programme, supervised by a teacher, through structured activities with multi aged groups from across the school. Each session lasts for approximately 30mins and runs on an 8-10 week cycle.

The Peer Support Programme allows the Grade 7/8s to develop their leaderships skills. In the short term this has a positive impact on the culture of the school community and in the long term it provides the students with experiences to develop leadership skills for the future.
